Principal Evan Stoudt
Who is Evan Stoudt?
Evan is the founding Principal of Livingston Collegiate Academy and a native New Orleanian. He has spent over 10 years in education.
When asked what his Leadership Superpower is, Evan says he is not afraid of new ideas. He is comfortable with change and improvement because it gives him reason to push the team to think about what’s next. As a school leader, he is known for his creativity and innovation. As Livingston’s School Leader since 2016, Evan has worked to found a school that combines rigorous academics with individualized interventions and clubs/co-curriculars. His approach ensures that all students have an opportunity to discover and explore what they are passionate about both in and out of the classroom.
Evan joined the Collegiate Academies team in 2011 when he began teaching at Sci Academy. There, as Freshman Dean and an Algebra I teacher, Evan supported 9th grade students, teachers, and advisors to develop and maintain a positive, challenging, and rewarding academic experience for each year’s freshman class. Before joining Collegiate Academies, he taught middle school math as a Teach For America corps member in New Orleans.
Education & Recognition
In 2015, Evan was a finalist for Louisiana's Teacher of the Year. Evan holds a BA in Marketing and Music from Loyola University of New Orleans.
